500 Startups LatAm has an application process open for its next batch. Founders can apply here by May 20th. The program invests $60,000 in startups that go through a 16-week program designed to drive startup growth and make connections to top investors.
This is a great program, led by an experienced team in Mexico City with tireless energy. Daphne Salinas, Associate at 500 Startups, is one of the team members that runs the program in Latin America. She recently wrote a great article on why investors select some startups and pass on others.
Two Peruvian founders, Patrick Wakeham of Apurata and Luis Miguel Rubio of Decompris, participated in the last batch. They are examples of the growing number of founders in Peru entering regional and global acceleration programs.
