Prior to the PVCC here are some trends in Peru’s startup community:

- Regional VCs investing in Peruvian founders – Turismoi announced an investment from Axon. Two Peru startups, Rebajatuscuentas.com and Fitco, were selected by 500 Startups to enter the most recent batch in Mexico City.
- Local corporates teaming up with startups – the PECAP Q2 report highlighted some corporate alliances with startups, including Independencia, Diloo and Urbaner. You can find it here.
- Critical mass of startups in Fintech – A recent Finnovista mapping identified 45 Peru startups in fintech.
For other trends you can search for Peru startups in the LAVCA Startup Directory and see news on Latamlist. Also check out Nathan Lustig’s Peru Venture Capital Overview. Both Nathan and Santiago Zavala of 500 Startups will be at the PVCC. I look forward to seeing you there!
