Q4 2018 in the Peru startup community

It has a been a big year for the Peru startup community, highlighted by founders’ achievements, the PVCC and the Techstars Assessment. Our startup community is maintaining the pace throughout the last quarter of the year with multiple events for both founders and investors.

Here are a few upcoming events:

October 4th, 5th: Finnovista Summit in Miami. Peru startup Culqi is there and you can follow the progress on Twitter through Andres Fontao or Finnovista.

October 21st, 22nd: PAD – Taller de Business Angels. This marks the second year that PAD will be teaming up with IESE to offer a comprehensive course for angel investors tailored to the realities of the Peru startup ecosystem.

October 22nd: EmprendeUP Developers Summit will focus on convening and promoting tech talent in our ecosystem.

October 25th: Endeavor Matchmaking Event. This is a unique event that will take place at the Lima Stock Market. Founders can apply here to participate before October 12th.

November 6th, 7th: WeXchange is the biggest event of the year for female founders in Latin America. It is hosted by IDB and will take place in Lima at Universidad de Pacifico. Mosi Mosquera, of IDB, recently discussed the event and provided information on female founders.

November 16th, 17th: The 2do Cumbre ASEP will bring together a large group of entrepreneurs for an entrepreneurship fair. The speaker lists includes Gonzalo Villaran of PRODUCE and Javier Salinas of EmprendeUP.

November is the Mes de Emprendimiento in Peru and the Perú Emprende Events Calendar is the place to go for information on more than 50 events nationwide.

These differentiated events will lead to knowledge sharing among members of our startup community. They will help build stronger startup teams, connect founders to mentors and drive more early stage investment into Peru startups. We are finishing off 2018 with a bang!
