UTEC Ventures has set itself apart as the top startup accelerator in Peru. The program is on par with peers across Latin America and continues to attract promising startup founders from Peru and abroad. UTEC Ventures recently opened applications for its latest cohort which is aimed to support fintech and post-covid solutions.

A long, consistent, approach is paying off and the results speak for themselves.

Regional springboard. Many of UTEC Ventures’s startups have gone on to enter Mexico, either on their own or through 500 Startups. These include Manzana Verde, Rebajatuscuentas, Fitco, Talently and others.

Stepping up. Startup founders from UTEC Ventures portfolio have been standouts in supporting Peruvians during the Covid-19 pandemic. While Check provides crucial learning resources to students, Mesa 247 and Riqra have offered solutions to suppliers and small businesses.

Global best practices. UTEC Ventures is part of GAN, the Global Accelerator Network, a community of premier independent accelerators from around the world. This alliance ensures the program teaches startups best practices in a broad range of areas, from digital marketing to pitch decks.

Exit paths. Three UTEC Ventures alumni have secured acquisitions or significant corporate investment in Peru. Wally POS was recently acquired by BCP, Diloo was the launchpad for Rappi’s entrance into Peru and Joinnus received investment from local media group RPP.

These success stories represent the tip of the iceberg of UTEC Ventures’s impact on Peru’s startup community. The growing group of program graduates will ensure a virtuous cycle continues.
