The number of Peru startups selected for and international acceleration programs continues to grow.
This month marked the start of the 7th generation of US acceleration program Parallel 18. Peru startups Fitco, Abaxto, Silabuz, and Chaty all are included in the group of 42. Interestingly, Fitco is listed in the program as a Mexico startup, perhaps an indication of the startup’s growth in Mexico and interest in positioning itself as a regional player.
Bederr, founded by Mario Gil, entered StartupBootCamp in CDMX as one of seven to be matched in the fintech focused program. StartupBootCamp, in partnership with Finnovista, has excellent links to fintech-focused venture funds and financial institutions in Mexico.
Finally, factoring platform, Facturedo, a regional startup with significant process in Peru place 2nd in the MassChallenge CDMX second place Demo night. Founder Alvaro Echevarria has built a regional team that includes Joel Villanueva Torres, Country Manager Peru.
